29 September 2009 - In what may represent a dramatic victory for campaigners, Care Services Minister Phil Hope yesterday told a reporter at the Labour Party conference that DLA is not under threat by the care green paper.
Petition the Prime Minister to recognise the vital support that Attendance Allowance (AA) and Disability Living Allowance (DLA) provide to disabled people, and to ensure that these benefits are secured and are not removed as part of any future reform of the social care system in England.

PENSIONS CREDIT & ATTENDANCE ALLOWANCE
The Citizens Advice Bureau are working in partnership with WSCC to make sure pensioners don’t miss out on pension credit or attendance allowance. They now have a dedicated advisor at the bureau on a Monday who can advise on eligibility for both of these benefits. Her name is Jan Cannon, Tel: 01903 532234 (Mondays only)
When calling, Jan will need the following information: Date of Birth, National Insurance No. and details of any savings or income coming in. This is a totally free service and the aim is to secure monies that over 60s are entitled to.
