Fibromyalgia Support Group for Surrey and Sussex

Janet Spence's Awareness and Fundraising Gig

Janet has held gigs for several years now to raise awareness of fibromylagia generally and to raise funds for the group.  Following the success of the gig at the Holmbush Centre last year, Janet and her compatriots are returning there on Saturday 22 August 2009.  It will be in the outer Atrium, in front of Tesco's, Marks & Spencer and McDonalds so it will be seen by thousands of shoppers.  The line-up is not finally decided but will include several groups in rotation so there will be no shortage of music.  There will also be a stand with information about fibromyalgia and the group.  Equally important,  there will be collecting tins to raise funds for the group.

  What is needed now is people to hold the tins and collect the money.  We don't want anyone to stand there all day, so long as the day is covered by a number of members.  So it doesn't matter whether you can do half a day or only an hour, it will all help.
