4th Birthday Celebrations

On 26th June 2007 Founder Jo Fisher and about 50 members and friends of the Fibromyalgia Support Group for Surrey and Sussex celebrated the Group’s 4th birthday at the meeting held at Methold House, Worthing. The Chairman (almost ex-Chairman) for the evening was Norman Lawrence, who introduced the speaker Paula Whybrow, a Counsellor. She gave a stimulating talk on escaping from our 'comfort zones' and having the confidence to try new experiences. After her talk refreshments were served including slices of the cake, made for the occasion by Lyn Tate, a member from Brighton.

Claire Merritt made a presentation on behalf of the group to Norman, thanking him for his past Chairmanship and support and wishing him well in his new life in Hampshire. Guest for the evening was Sue Pumphreys the Patient and Public Involvement Manager for the north east area of West Sussex PCT. Both she and Paula mingled with the members for informal discussions.
