One of the main Objectives is to create Expert Panels - These panels will be able to advise both Patients and the Medical Profession on the latest Developments of Research and Treatments available.
The Panels will be made up of leading Specialists in their Field.
To start with there will be Expert Panels in the following areas:
- Fibromyalgia
- M.E.
- Depression
The Academy will be able to announce the experts for fibromyalgia in the next few weeks.
The Academy will sponsor the experts to deliver knowledgeable talks to both patients and medical professionals.
Each panel of experts will demonstrate treatment options within their specialised fields.
Early next year (2010) workshops will be held to develop people's understanding of the condition and the best way forward.
The Academy's website is under development at present.
Our aim is to make cutting edge research and relevant information easily accessible to the public.
