ROCKING FOR FIBROMYALGIA!!!

Portsmouth’s Admiral Lord Nelson School rocked to the rafters on 4th October with 52 excited students from Clive’s Easylearn Portsmouth and Waterlooville Rock Schools performing two hours of rock songs from across the decades.

Franchise owner, former The Sweet and Praying Mantis vocalist Mark Thompson-Smith promoted the concert in aid of the Fibromyalgia Support Groups(Surrey/Sussex/Hampshire) after he became aware that one of his students was suffering from the debilitating condition.

Mark said ‘The students had a fantastic time showing off what they had learned at the schools and knowing that we were able to raise over a thousand pounds on the night too just added to a very special evening!

We had over 200 in the audience and they wouldn’t let us off the stage. Seeing so many young people doing something so positive is so rewarding and as the charity and syndrome is itself are not well known, it’s an absolute delight to know that we’re raising awareness amongst the general public.’

Here's the 'official' handing over to Denise McSpadden .... she's learning bass at Waterlooville and it was her suggestion to direct our efforts your way....and we are very happy to have done so too!
