Another Award – This Time From America

Jo Fisher, our founder, Chairman and Co-ordinator, was presented with the prestigious International Advocates Award at the AMICA Award ceremony during the FAME Conference (Fibromyalgia Means Everything) in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Orange County, California, watched by more than 1,000 people.

Jo was one of 12 people to receive awards as Fibromyalgia's most dedicated advocates and in recognition of her devotion and continuing hard work to help and support people with Fibromyalgia.

Before making the presentation of a beautiful engraved clock and a gold edged certificate, the President of the National Fibromyalgia Association, Lynne Matallana, paid tribute to Jo's tireless work to benefit fellow FM and CFS patients.

Lynne told the audience: "A member of her support group (Stella Bernardi) described her as ' a tower of strength to members of the group, a gem, and an inspiration to others' and we agree.”
