Raising Funds to run the Group

FMSSAS is a member of the Fund Raising Standards Board, which was launched in 2007, and requires that its members apply high standards to fund raising and usage of funds through the application of Codes of Fundraising Practice and a written Complaints Process. It provides a safety net to the public - individuals, companies, trusts, charities etc that they can "give with confidence"
Grants and Awards
We have had several official 'fundraisers' who apply for grants and awards from all kinds of sources and they have been very successful. But this work is very demanding so each fundraiser, who has been a fibromite, is limited as to how much they can do, and for how long. As our organisation grows, greater resources are needed to finance the various activities and publicity materials. A part-time paid fundraiser has been employed with very successful results. Unfortunately, with the 'Credit Crunch', this type of funding gets more and more difficult to obtain.
There is a place for other means of fundraising as well and members and their relatives have made a significant contribution by their various efforts. You can view reports of these by using the links below.
